YOUR VISIT, YOUR CHOICE
IT and events aims to make useful, clearly labelled advertising that respects your attention and privacy a normal part of the web. You choose which links to follow.
The public counters store page-load totals, including those for the information pages, and totals per selected language, with the date each count began. Reloads count too: these are not unique visitors or a measure of musical taste. These counters use no cookies, IP addresses or visitor profiles. A technical failure can leave a load uncounted.
For the supplied posters, logo and promotional files, Songhub keeps an aggregate total of admitted full-file download starts and the counter's start date. These counters contain no account details, IP addresses or visitor profiles. Previews and partial or resumed transfers do not add a start. A counted start does not confirm a completed download.
For free music downloads, Songhub retains a random request ID, the selected download, file size and UTC time to continue its counters. These records contain no account details, IP address or browser information. Counts describe download starts, not unique people or confirmed saved files. Signed music-download links count at most once per issued request ID. The legacy direct music-ZIP URL counts each accepted full-file start. The ZIP is counted separately; listening and resumed partial requests do not increase the counter.
A newsletter signup stores your email address, selected language, consent-notice version, signup status and UTC timestamps. The signup feature sends no emails. The Cloudflare check loads only when you activate an available email field. Cloudflare receives technical request information; the signup code sends the verification token to Cloudflare, not the email address. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Visiting still sends technical request information, including your IP address, to the hosting service. Server and security logs may process that information; this is not a promise of zero data collection. Following a shop or advertiser link takes you to that site's own privacy and cookie practices. Songhub links directly, without a click-tracking redirect.
Purposes and legal bases.
Newsletter signup records rely on your consent to store the address for music and site updates. Recording a signup does not verify control of the mailbox or send any mail. Necessary delivery and proportionate abuse protection serve the operator’s legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure site.
How long records remain.
Signup and download-event records currently have no automatic expiry and remain until manually reviewed or erased. Aggregate counters retain totals and their start dates. Contact the operator about record retention, hosting logs and backup copies; no fixed deletion period is promised here.
Your data, your request.
To withdraw a pending newsletter signup, request erasure or ask about your data, use the ITE contact form, select Legal and name Songhub. No Songhub account is needed. State the address concerned and what you want changed.
Requests are handled manually after proportionate verification that the address or data is yours. A Cloudflare check does not prove mailbox control. Submitting a request does not immediately change or erase a record. Do not send passwords or an unsolicited identity-document copy. An unsubscribed address is not reactivated by a later unverified signup.
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. The normal response period is one month; a lawful extension may apply, with an explanation.
You can also complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
